The six Articles of iman (faith) in Islam are:

  1. Belief in Allah: The first and most important pillar, which includes belief in Allah’s description in the Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Hadits). This includes belief in Allah’s 99 names.
  2. Belief in angels: Angels are messengers of Allah, created from light before humans for the purpose of worshiping Allah. They are in complete submission to Allah and have different duties, such as each human being assigned four angels.
  3. Belief in revealed scriptures: This includes belief in Allah’s holy books, especially the Qur’an, which is considered the unchanged word of Allah.
  4. Belief in messengers: Also known as Risalah, this includes belief in the messengers of Allah.
  5. Belief in the last day: Also known as the Day of Judgment.
  6. Belief in divine decree: Also known as Al-Qadar or pre-ordainment.
